Chatty Chat: One-second social media strategy
Me: Yeah, I’m just going to say it. I’m so over social media.
Tech Friend: Are you over social media, like I’m over SEO?
Me: Probably.
Tech Friend: I hear you. It’s so intertwined into EVERYTHING.
Me: I like how our social media specialist put it. It’s just a wheel on the car, and the car isn’t going to move forward if you don’t have the other wheels in place, a diver, or a plan for regular maintenance.
Tech Friend: Totally. I read this post this morning and it’s pretty on-point and exactly how I feel about social media right now: “Why I Will Never Hire a Social Media Expert”
Me: Haha! That’s great. We were very strategic in naming our position “social media specialist” meaning they specialize in that area of a bigger communications plan.
This is why I prefer Social Media Specialist in general, too.
